It Makes a Difference When We Show We Care

You are very likely someone who wants to influence others for God. What is one of your best opportunities to do that? How about Sunday?

Every Sunday we have visitors to our worship assemblies. I want to encourage you to plan to make a positive impact on them. What can you do?

1) Speak to them! Let them know with certainty that you are glad they are here.

2) Introduce yourself and they will probably return the favor. Write theirnames down (be ready to do that on paper or in your phone).

3) Ask if they’ve been here before or if they know anyone here.

4) Ask if they are members of the church. If they say “no” you now have a greatopportunity to express special appreciation for their choosing to visit us.

5) Help them find classes for their children, restrooms, water fountains, the nursery, etc.

6) Introduce them to others if they seem comfortable visiting with you, spread the joyaround a little.

7) Sit with them if you are able to do that. This will also give you an excellentopportunity to immediately visit some more with them when worship concludes.

8) Invite them to lunch. Yes, I know this may seem “above and beyond” but if you’denjoy it, they likely will as well.

9) If they are not members, ask them if they have any questions about our worship,Bible class, or anything else they may be curious about.

We want folks to have a great relationship with God. What a better time and opportunity to help that than when they come among us!
