Congregational Survey Report

A few weeks ago, we asked this church family for suggestions/comments on several areas which included worship, Bible classes, youth work, fellowship events, sermon topics, office, building & grounds, and other categories. We received responses from 22 individuals. Every suggestion/comment has been reviewed. We are very thankful to those who took the time to respond because these have presented ideas for improvements. This entire effort has been very positive because all of us are working toward the same goals.
Let me give you information about some of the changes from the suggestions received.

Worship:
(Already implemented)

  • Starting on time, every time
  • Making worship more spiritual
  • Scrolling announcements before services
  • Prayer requests after the sermon/invitation
  • Special announcements after the worship has ended

(In Consideration)

  • It was also suggested that we change the schedule of Sunday Bible classes/worship to worship first, then Bible classes after worship. Maybe yes to this change after Daylight Saving Time change
  • Other suggestions are still being evaluated

Bible Classes:
(Already implemented)

  • Provide more Bible classes to allow for more options for learning
  • Wednesday evening have shorter devotional, then Bible classes
  • Have Wednesday evening Ladies Bible class. This class will start in April
  • Start earlier in the year for the “Early Bird” services next fall

Youth Work:

  • Two families will be assigned to work with the youth. More on this later
  • Building and Grounds:
  • A number of suggestions were offered to improve our parking
  • Ron Hanks and Clee Turbyfill have been asked to do a complete evaluation of our parking.
  • That project is in the works at this time.

There will be more information on these and other suggestions/comments from the survey as plans become available.
