Our Bible classes are one very important way we can all pursue spiritual growth as our Lord intended for us. Our spiritual growth should include:
A. Growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (II Pet.3:18).
B. To our faith we are, with diligence, to add moral excellence, knowledge, self control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love in order that we may be useful and fruitful for our Lord (II Pet. 1:5-8).
C. We grow through the Word in respect to our salvation (II Pet. 2:2).
D. We grow beyond the elementary teachings about the Christ to maturity as Christians (Heb. 6:1).
E. We are to grow up into all aspects of Christ (Eph. 4:15).
F. We are to increase and abound in love for one another (I Thes 3:12).
Growing in Christ is not always an easy process. It takes time and it takes effort. The leaders in the church try to provide learning opportunities to equip everyone in the church family for spiritual growth. Then it’s up to each individual as to how you will grow. This, then, is the reason for changing the Sunday morning services to have the worship at 9:30 and then Bible classes at 10:45 or 11:00, so as to encourage Bible class attendance.
We offer several very good adult Bible classes. For example, in the auditorium class we will be studying the “Parables of Jesus”. The parables make up about one-third of the recorded teachings of Jesus and they are so valuable in that they help us see practical Christian living. This study of the Parables of Jesus will start the 8th of June.
If YOU are not presently attending one of our Sunday morning classes, I really encourage you to make that start.
