“Behold..Every Eye Shall See Him” -Rev. 1:7

Are you ready to see Jesus? John’s words, as given in the title above, are proof you are going to see Jesus, and so will I. John even added that the ones who drove the nails and threw the spear into His side will see Him! Since He has all authority in heaven and on earth (Matt. 28:18), it is fitting that before Him every knee will bow and every tongue will confess“that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

Have you confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord? That sobering question needs to be considered because one day your eyes will look upon Jesus!

Who is the most significant dignitary, leader, hero that has been in your presence? There were dancing eyes and rapid speech by some who walked for about two blocks with Bob Hope! Have you ever had an audience with a Governor or President? Have you recalled with awe the moments you spent with some significant person?

If you have been denied such an august, spine-tingling experience, don’t fret. Your eyes are going to look on Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords (Rev. 19:16)!! As Georgia B.

Adams wrote:
“I’ll see a burst of glory, and
The angel’s voice I’ll hear;
The trumpet’s golden throat will sound
The summons loud and clear!
Then suddenly— I’ll see the Lord!
I’ll meet Him face to face…
The Lord of all the universe,
The Lord of truth and grace!
My cup of bliss will overflow;
I’ll see Him as He is!
What joy to place my hand within
That nail-scarred hand of His!”¹

Some people will not want to see Jesus. In Revelation we read of some who say to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of their wrath is come, and who is able to stand?” (6:16, 17). That is so sad because every eye is going to see Him!

As you are right now, do you want to see Jesus? Some day you will! When you see Jesus, will you be glad or sad??
