Ah! Now, let me see—
In the seed there is a tree;
In the tree there is a trunk;
In the earth the roots have shrunk;
In the roots the juices flow,
Rising upward, and on they go,
To sprout out into branches, leaf, stem,
Producing flower and fruit on many a limb;
Which in multiple colors, we collect for food;
Pleasing our palate: tasting so good;
Containing also many a seed,
To repeat the process, as God decreed;
The life in that seed no man can give;
Yet, by that life man is able to live;
To deny that Source is foolish indeed;
Give God the glory for each little seed!
If the God of this life, you would deny,
You, my friend, will eternally die!
So please hear me as I sincerely plead,
“Honor the Life-giver of each little seed!”
“Then God said, ‘Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.’ And it was so!”
(Genesis 1:11 NIV).
