David's Top Ten
There are so many good reasons for attending Bible Class on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights – spiritual growth, Bible knowledge, as well as the mutual encouragement we receive from the fellowship at these times. David, the psalmist, touches on some of these in his longest psalm (119), which is dedicated to the wonderful advantages of studying God's Word.
I'm sure he didn't mean it this way, but for space's sake, I've condensed this passage down into the top ten reasons for Bible Study:
- Bible Study keeps your way pure (vs. 9)
- Bible Study revives the soul (vs. 26)
- Bible Study makes you richer than silver or gold (vs. 72)
- Bible Study makes you wiser than your enemies (vs. 98)
- Bible Study is delightful (vs. 103)
- Bible Study guides your way in life (vs. 105)
- Bible Study produces a joyful heart (vs. 111)
- Bible Study keeps us saved (vs. 188)
- Bible Study is the study of truth (vs. 160)
- Bible Study brings peace of mind (vs. 165)
Surely after having read these, it would be hard to come up with ten reason not to come to Bible Class! See you Sunday.
