Tis’ the season when the Heavenly Host did sing,

That to earth had come a “Heavenly King!”

“Peace among men,” was the Divine Plan,

For a Savior had come to redeem man!

The earthly powers, with a jealous air’,

On babes enacted slaughter without-a-care;

Peace turned to pain without and within;

Seeking to thwart God’s plan among men!

While “Celebration” relates to His arrival on earth,

There remains much confusion concerning His birth;

Both Time and Treatment show obvious frustration,

The “Celebration” turns to “Commercialization!”

Yet, the Father’s purpose in sending His Son,

Has not by human folly come to be “undone”;

For the Savior that He came to be,

Was gloriously fulfilled on Calvary’s Tree!

Through the ages a redeemed remnant did obey,

And in God’s Kingdom, they do earnestly pray,

That others may join in Redemption’s Sweet Song,

Becoming a part of His heavenly throng!

If this seasonal celebration, looking into His Word,

So that God’s intent is clearly heard;

Then what a Special time it will truly be,

When folks gather around a Christmas Tree!

A Christmas tree, in faith, planted a Calvary,

Can enrich so much more both You and Me;

The real gift that highlights the seasonal spirit,

Is if each soul finds the Savior in it!!
