Our natural Human delight for Holidays,

Unfolds for people in multiple ways;

So many sights and seasons for which we long;

Family visits and trips, oft’ captured in song;

But, if God should for a Holiday try,

How sobering the fact—All folks would die!

If He were to shut down His air supply,

Twould instantly launch as international cry!

Plants, Animals, Humans—life in every shape and form,

Would dramatically suffer catastrophic harm!

This Seasonal thought each heart should jar,

Inspiring meditation of how dependent we are;

Causing us to get down on our knees,

To urge God above with sincere, urgent please,

Hoping that for our humble, surviving sakes,

He in His heavenly realm never a Holiday take!

Should it be You have taken for granted Your living,

You might ponder, and offer, to Him Thanksgiving!
