"Someone defiantly will pay for your sins.
Will it be you or will it be Jesus."
This was the sign I happened on while surfing the internet. I thought to myself how powerful the message conveyed in such a short sentence. For those of us who have believe in Christ as our Lord and Savior and have responded, the words are not anything we didn't already know. But, perhaps it gives us a new tool to invite others into Christ.
The hardest part, in my opinion, in getting people to Christ is helping them (and us) to realize that Jesus died "for me!" My sins were the reason Jesus was crucified! I was responsible for the death of my Lord! Because I sinned there is a price to pay.
Without Jesus we will answer for our sins and that answer is death,
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Romans 6:23
So the question becomes who is picking up the tab? There is only two choices... Me or Jesus. He has paid the price in advance and it is up to us to accept it or reject it.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.
- Ephesians 1:7
This would probably be a good time to bow to the Lord and thank him for spending His life on our bill.
