Guest Speaker: Barry Day
This morning our guest speaker will be Barry Day. He will be preaching on “Being an Influencer for Christ”. He will also be wrapping up our Wednesday night Summer Series: Bridge Builders with the subject of “Repairing Broken Bridges”.
After 40 years of preaching, teaching, and
ministry with his wife, Karen, Barry recently stepped down from being the preaching minister for the Canyonview church of Christ in California. His new volunteer ministry will be caring for the residents of a retirement and care facility, and also the senior members of the Canyonview church. He looks forward to having more time to enjoy his family, traveling with Karen, and riding his motorcycle. We are looking forward to hearing Barry speak to us on both Sunday and Wednesday.
New Quarter Classes
The new fall quarter will begin on September 3 and continue through the end of November. In the auditorium, Mike Mazzalongo will be teaching, “Grace in the Book of Romans”. The grace of God is powerfully revealed and described in the story of Jesus' death, burial and resurrection, and nowhere is the grace of God more eloquently explained than in the book of Romans.
Jon Arvin, John Miller, and Shannon Wann will be teaching a class in the fellowship hall simply entitled, “Prayer”. This class will be taking a look at what scripture says on prayer and its benefits.
Please see the flyer in the foyer for more information about children’s, youth, and adult classes. Classes meet at 9:30am each Sunday.
