A Senior Sendoff

Well, this is it!

The seniors time in high school has come to a close (I’m not crying, you are)! I would like to say a thank you, not only to the kids for their participation in the youth group, but to the parents for all of your commitments to helping these seniors realize how important they are to you, and to the Church!

As someone who was in your shoes not too long ago, I know that this transition into a new part of life looks really difficult. But rather than rushing to get out of school or work and straight into adulthood, I would encourage you to walk through this season of life.

Right after he mentions the fruit of the Spirit, Paul says in Galatians 5:25 how we should “walk by the Spirit.”

Rather than just thinking about keeping in step with the Spirit, think of how much you will learn about yourself and developing that fruit of the Spirit. As you will go through this life, you will start collecting that fruit and finding those gifts that you can use to help the Church!

So enjoy this season, pray about this season, and God will do “far more abundantly than all that we ask or think,”- Ephesians 3:20.
