For Ten Years you have found here,

Marty’s articles that could much endear;

But this week, both his and your eyes,

Will find in writing a fitting surprise!

His article this week just does not suit,

To give to Himself an appropriate tribute,

For ten years of special dedicated deeds,

That were designed to meet congregational needs!

Oh, he has blest more than the congregation,

With his timely truths and dedications;

The entire community has come to see,

His skills and service for you and for me!

Twas ten years ago to this very day,

The Marty Kessler family came our way;

What a blessing that has proven to be,

Through messages and manners geared to eternity!

Scriptural sermons have offered “food for thought;”

Plus many a statement about food he has brought;

There have been weddings, funerals, and classes galore,

Delivered like a friend or a neighbor “next door!”

He surely possesses a “West Virginia wit;”

At any moment, he may share some of it;

But should the occasion more somber be,

He has a heart of compassion for you and for me!

Through ten years now his family has grown;

Each family member seems like “one of our own;”

And that is as it most assuredly should be,

For they have helped us blend as “God’s family!”

As this tribute unfolds, line up on line,

With accolades of gratitude that come to mind—

Mentally putting Marty in the spotlight on the stage—

Like his articles, we truly need another page!

Ten years, or five hundred and twenty week—

Tis’ truly a challenging task if one sincerely seeks,

To cover all he has done, and continues to do,

But Marty (and family), this is our Tribute to You!
