TODAY OUR PATH CROSSED

Did you ever wonder why our paths have crossed? Did our paths cross by chance or was there a purpose? Will our paths cross again? As we look at these situations let us consider why our paths may have crossed.

I remember 30 years ago, though it only seem like yesterday, that I met a young man, a very likeable man who was easy to be around, easy to talk to. He had a great out look on life, one of happy go lucky, causal. You have probably met such a person in your life too. We worked together. I even had him in my home for dinner. The years passed and I lost track of him. I often wondered if he ever obeyed the gospel. I’d lived a good example in front of him as well as many others I new. We just did not seem to talk about the gospel though. I regret that. I often wondered if we would ever meet again.

I know we are here for a purpose in this life. I now understand this purpose of life more than ever since I obeyed the gospel of Christ. Have you read the story of Queen Ester and Mordecai in Ester 4:1-14, 5,6,7,8, & 9?

Why are you here? Whose path did you cross today? Did you mention the gospel of Christ to them? I hope you can answer yes to all three of these questions. But if you can’t, let us consider why someone may have come into your life today. It truly could be that you may be the only chance they have to hear the gospel. Let us redeem the time we have lost. We only have so much time in this life, then judgment for the things we have done either good or bad. Revelation 20:12

Have you put off obeying the Gospel? Are you in your 11th hour of life and it is passing fast? Don’t put it off. Do you know you have been given a second chance to make things right with God and to obey the gospel?
