MOVE YOUTH CONFERENCE
MOVE is a spiritually guided, biblically grounded, unity promoting youth conference based in the Oklahoma City area.
#1 - Our theme for this year is "The God Who Sees." Through the weekend, we'll explore the comforting truth that God sees each of us personally and values us deeply. We'll dive into stories like Hagar's to show how God sees us in our struggles, and we'll discover how being made in His image gives us true worth. Breakout sessions will focus on how God sees the outcast, the sinner, the faithful, and the seeker, offering encouragement and hope to everyone.
#2 - What does the $10 registration cover? Registration covers each person getting a t-shirt, and will go towards paying our speakers.
#3 - Who is MOVE for? This is a conference designed for 7th-12th graders. We chose topics and teachers that we believe are effective in reaching this specific age group.
#4 - Where to stay for groups from far away - We have attained a group rate at the TRU by Hilton hotel right off the highway, just 12 minutes from Southwest. The rooms are $94 per night - the rooms are double beds and includes a hot breakfast. I will provide a link when that's built later today. You can also call them directly and book through them (405-609-3955), just mention you are booking with the MOVE Conference. We have 30 rooms blocked off, so if you'd like to be a part of that, book quickly. If you decide to not book at this hotel, we recommend booking in the OKC area instead of Moore or Norman because of the home OU football game.
#5 - Food - No meals are provided financially, but on Saturday afternoon we will have a few food trucks at Southwest to choose from. We would love for you to stay and take advantage of eating on campus! We will have the field setup for games and activities after lunch and college football going on the TV's for the time between lunch and our next session.
#6 - Saturday night - when you look at the schedule, you'll notice that Saturday evening is wide open for you to do whatever you and your group would like to do. With that being said, we are going to open the field back up for games and activities if you and your group would like to stay at Southwest to do that. We're possibly looking at a softball tournament if enough groups would be interested. Food will NOT be provided, so you will need to get dinner before or after.
#7 - Vendors - We have a few more spots available for vendors if you are interested in promoting different ministries during this event. If you are wanting to come and have a spot for this, please reach out to us ASAP. This will be a first come, first serve as we are already almost full.
#8 - How to register, the schedule, and more info can be found at moveokc.org
