You Are Being Watched

God looks on the heart.  No one can see our hearts but Him.  Regardless of the strength of my faith, it does no one any good whatsoever if all I do is “have” it.

So God has sent His Son to teach us, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father Who is in heaven”, Matthew 5:16.

People can’t see our hearts, but they can see our works.  When they see that our works are good, they see what we believe and can give glory to God because of it.

Since someone is watching us almost all of the time, it is especially important that we do good, all of the time.

People not only see what we do, but they also hear what we say, and how we say it.

They see where we go.

They see what we wear, and how we wear it.

They see how we act, how we react, and how we interact.

Even our attitudes shine through our works.  Can’t stop‘em.  People often see them best of all.

Truth is, everything about us tells the world something of what we believe.  Or should I say, in Whom we believe?  Think about the opportunities there are to cause others to glorify God in simply living out a normal day in a world filled with lost souls.

We all live, just one day at a time.  That, however, is the very time the world is watching.

What will we show them?
