You Can Speak Louder Than Your Words!

When is the last time you made a proclamation?  Don’t be fooled by the official sound of the word.  It simply means to announce something publicly.
Everything we do proclaims something about what we believe.  This fact makes it possible for every Christian to proclaim their faith in Jesus and their love for His bride, the church, to the whole world without saying a word.
I am convinced that one of the best proclamations you and I can make is simply meeting with the Lord’s people every time they assemble.  The body of Christ really does need each member.  Your very presence proclaims to all present that you believe they are doing well to be there.  Weak Christians need to ‘hear’ your proclamation.  Your brothers and sisters struggling with life, as well as the lost (not to mention your own family!) need to hear, see you proclaiming to them what truly has lasting value.
If my presence with the Lord and His saints proclaims my love for God and His kingdom, what message does my absence proclaim?  What we say with our mouths really means nothing when our actions say something else.
Are you one of those who habitually proclaims by your absence from the assemblies of the Lord’s people that you have better things to do?  If so, Please use the margins of this bulletin to list anything you believe makes a better proclamation than meeting with the saints.
That’s right.  If you have something better, more productive, more impacting, more life-changing, more helpful to others and more pleasing to your God than meeting with His people, then that’s what you should be doing!  I’d really like to see it in writing.
Regardless of what you have “proclaimed” before, commit yourself anew to proclaiming your love for God and His people by supporting every assembly you can!
