Questions and Exercises for Christians

Based on what you know about God, what assemblies of his church do you believe he wants you to attend? (This is not a trick question)

Which assemblies of God’s church do you believe he considers optional? In other words, which ones does he have no desire one way or another for you to attend?

Imagine you are attempting to convert a lost loved one. First, practice putting into your own words how much you appreciate what Jesus has done for you and how much the church he purchased with his blood means to you. Next, practice teaching them which assemblies of Jesus’ church it is ok for them to abstain from attending.

What would you teach a child about attending the assemblies of the church? Which ones, if any, would you teach them are optional? If your practice is to miss assemblies on a regular basis, practice explaining your absence to a child so that they will understand that your absence is not a sign of a lack of faith in or love for God?

Imagine explaining to a child why their Bible class teachers don’t attend all of the services of the Lord’s church on a regular basis. How would you help them to see that this is justified and that God fully approves of their absence?

In your own words, explain the meaning of “…not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is…” from Hebrews 10:25. Which, or how many assemblies can one forsake and still not be considered as one who forsakes assembling?

Based on Romans 14:10-12 (and other passages) rehearse giving an accounting to God for your practice of either attending or missing the assemblies of the church.

Based on what you know about Satan, where do you believe he wants you to be when the church assembles for either worship or Bible study?
