Buried Treasure
Friday, April 1st, 2016. This is the day that we begin…. as a congregation….. to read through Jesus’ New Testament together.
What do you imagine will be the result for you?
- Will you learn things you did not previously know?
- Will you be surprised at how little you really know of the New Testament?
- Will you be reminded of great truths you had forgotten?
- Will you gain insights that will help you understand life better than before?
- Will you feel your soul being enriched and nourished by newfound understanding?
- Will you grow closer to God, appreciate Jesus more and take more comfort in your knowledge of God’s Spirit?
- Will your sense of anxiety be relaxed by your communion with God?
- Will you find yourself enjoying more of the “peace that passes understanding”?
- Will you enjoy a great sense of satisfaction in the time you spend with the Word?
- Will you become so excited about what you’ve read that you will want to share it with others?
- Will you find great encouragement, knowing your brothers and sisters in Christ are discovering all of the above right along with you?
Yes. I believe so. All of the above! As Jesus said:
“Therefore every scribe (writer and reader of the word of God) who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old.” Matthew 13:52
You treasure is waiting for you….. for us!
