Who Have You Spoken To Lately About Jesus?

What good does it do to decry the state humanity if I don’t point people to the only perfect hope there is?

We live in a world where marriage is dishonored through pornography, promiscuity, and adultery. Drug cartels flood our country with poison because our fellow-citizens buy it. Immigrants who despise our nation are doing great harm and Europe reels from violence being perpetrated there by thousands of Islamic refugees they have taken in. Perhaps worst of all, our own leaders seem bent on dividing us over petty issues rather than addressing and resolving them. Our national energy and resources are being wasted while potential enemies of our nation are looming large on the horizon.

Sound bleak? So where does Jesus come in?

Jesus referred to Satan as the “ruler of this world” in John 12:31, 14:30 & 16:11. Because of this, perhaps we should be surprised that things are not even worse than they are. Jesus did not come to “fix” this world, but to provide us a way out of it.

Evenif all of these troubles were to instantly vanish, the reality for each of us as individuals would be no different. Our time on this earth remains short and we will leave here to stand before Almighty God whether we’ve lived in turmoil or prosperity.

The only real and lasting question for you, me and our loved ones is, “Are we ready to go into eternity?”
