The Ever-Current 2nd Psalm  (with respectful liberties)

Day dawned again this morning, the light is spreading still, as it has since God’s creation, his order to fulfill (Psalm 19:4-6)

The world is going crazy, but then that is a lie, because it’s long been crazy and will be ‘til we die (1st John 2:15-17)

The nations in an uproar, fools devising their vain things, taking counsel with one another against the King of Kings (Psalm 2:1-3)

But God still sits in the heavens and laughs and scoffs at men, his fury not waiting forever is soon to terrify them (Psalm 2:4-6)

His rod of iron ready, his son the one to bear, and break and shatter in shards and pieces their plans like earthenware (Psalm 2:7-9)

So kings you’d best take warning, and judges of the earth, drop to your knees and worship him for whom your ship is worth (Psalm 2:10-11)

Lest you wake his wrath and feel his fire and perish in the way, repent and live and change your ways and see the light of day (Psalm 2:12)

We dread a change tomorrow, for small our hearts are here, but with God that day is a thousand years devoid of need to fear (2nd Peter 3:8)

He rules from his eternity and longs to bring us there, when with this world we’ve had enough and rise up in the air (John 17:24 & 1stThessalonians 4:15-18)

Take courage then and stay the way and enter through the gate, that leads to life and better things than we’ve witnessed here of late (Matthew 7:13-14)

The Lord is still in heaven, his Anointed at his side, and ‘til he calls us home to him we shall right here reside (Hebrews 1:1-4)

Until that day be faithful, in him daily to confide, and shine his light in loving deeds the darkness cannot hide (Ephesians 2:8-10)
