You want change? Well I sure do. But not the kind of change we see looming on today’s political horizon. We are in desperate need of changes that go deeper that the presidency.
Yes, I’m for change. I want to see common sense rule (if nothing else) with regard to the definition of marriage. Have people just lost their minds? No other known creature in the universe attempts to mate with the same sex, and no religion in all of human history has regarded homosexual unions as marriage. How arrogant to presume against nature and all of human history and redefine what has stood the test of nature and time!
Yes, I’m for change. I’d like to see a change from hearing people militantly claim the right to kill their babies to seeing those same people embrace their obligation to care for their children. Did I say ‘kill’? Should I say ‘abort’ so I do not offend those so deceived as to claim that an abortion does not kill a living human child? Dear God, what a lie! What an abomination!
Yes, I’m for change. I want to see Americans stop consuming the steady diet of ‘cheap‘, ‘easy’, and ‘casual’ sex that’s everywhere in our faces these days. Turn off that stupid television if there’s nothing better to watch. Don’t go to those kinds of movies. Stop buying any printed fodder that tantalizes you, the reader, with terms like sexy, sensual, hot, etc. Why does it have to be that almost everywhere our eyes fall in today’s media, we are likely to be titillated towards temptation and lust. No wonder things like pornography and the disrespect and confusion of the sexes is such a problem in our society.
Yes, I’m for change. Who do we pattern ourselves after? No wonder so many young people ‘fall victim’ to promiscuous behavior, since it seems as though almost every Hollywood idol leads them in that direction on the screen and on television. I’m sick and tired of witnessing our further disrespect for personal virtue and purity as if such was perverted behavior.
Yes, I‘m for change. I‘d like to see an end to the ads that say, ‘Don’t worry about herpes, here’s a medication that will solve all your problems’. ‘Here’s how to prevent Chlamydia‘, says another. We are assured that they are working on eradicating AIDS and how dare any of us not get on the bandwagon and clamor for a cure for one of the most preventable diseases on earth. When will righteousness teach us to take responsibility for our own sexuality?
Yes, I’m for change. I’d like to see our educational system stop indoctrinating our children with the godless philosophical doctrine of evolution. It is not science! Yet, this godless ideology appears to have come full circle, as we now see those trained by it acting in the above ways, and others, more and more like evolved animals rather than purposeful beings created in the image of Almighty God.
Yes, I’m for change. I want to see a change among radical Muslims who foment hatred and murder in the name of one they call god. I’d like to see all nations of the world, Muslim included, rise up together in righteous indignation against these barbaric and unreasonable people who are a threat to civilization everywhere. But then again, perhaps facing such violence against ourselves is our lot as a result our own national disgrace and sinfulness in the face of the above.
Yes, I’m for change. But I fear that none of the above changes are the ones for which so many of our countrymen are calling.
